This performance is part of an on-going series of Birmingham solos for Seymour Wright’s forthcoming publication Rites (2020), which reference a set of imaginary late-1960s Birmingham conditions and distortions such as Emmy Bridgewater’s surrealism, nascent-Metal, Sun Ra, the botanical saxophone, Neo-Classical architecture and the Staffordshire Hoard. Followed by a DJ set by artist and musician Beatrice Dillon.
Supported by the Estate of Barry Flanagan. This event is part of the OTO at Ikon series of concerts connecting Ikon’s exhibitions, Centrala spaces and the artistic community of Café OTO in Dalston.
