Fluid is a brand new music festival, taking place as part of Birmingham Weekender, and presenting an extraordinary lineup of new Queer sound and music.

The Fluid programme is so incredibly diverse, that today we wanted to offer a small taster of just some of the amazing talent that will be on display....

Michael Wolters & Paul Norman

Birmingham Conservatoire's Deputy Head of Composition Michale Wolters will perform Worries, with his collaborator Paul Norman. Based on a text by artist Lucy Harvey, Worries deals with burning questions such as, what if no supermarket stocks Gouda cheese anymore because the Dutch no longer trade with the UK?

CN Lester

CN Lester is a singer-songwriter, writer, classical musician, and activist. Author of Trans Like Me: A Journey for All of Us (Virago).

Yfat Soul Zisso

Soul will be performing 'Violet to Vita' and will be accompanied by Holly Shirra (piano) and Aaron Bilson (Cello).

Rebekah Ubuntu

Rebekah Ubuntu is a London-based performance artist and musician who recently performed at Tate Britain, London’s Serpentine Galleries, and UK-wide arts institutions.

Tsinder Ash

Experimental multi-instrumentalist and singer Tsinder Ash blends off-kilter melodies and dark lyrics with vocals traversing from a deep blues to whimsical folk.

Mx World

Mx World is the new solo project from London based musician Poppy Tibbetts.

If these performances have got you thirsty for more, check out the Fluid Festival website for full details of what's on and where!
